Voluntary Vaccination Clinic
For your convenience, Gillsipie is planning a vaccination clinic through Costco Pharmacy on December 15 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Gillispie gym. In order to do so, at least 40 participants must sign up on this Costco secured site by Friday, December 10. In addition to the pediatric Pfizer vaccine for children ages 5 to 11 years old, Costco medical personnel will also be administering adult vaccines of Pfizer, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson, and boosters. There is no charge for a vaccine or booster though you are asked to bring your insurance information if available. A second clinic will be hosted by Gillispie on January 5 from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. to administer second pediatric and adult vaccines and boosters. The clinic is open to students, employees, and their families.
If you are interested, please follow these steps:
- Make a reservation online through Costco Pharmacy;
- Complete the Costco consent form which will be sent via email from Costco after you register and a Gillispie consent form (note: there is a student version and adult version) and bring them to the clinic on December 15; and
- Accompany your child to the clinic in the gym. It is a requirement that an adult family member/guardian be present. We will bring students to the gym to meet you at their appointed time.
Once your child is fully vaccinated, please email Nurse Greene a picture of the vaccination card. This information is very important if we need to conduct contract tracing in determining whether or not students need to quarantine per the San Diego County COVID-19 Decision Tree.
