Regular Elementary Student COVID Testing Will Begin on Monday

As an additional measure to keep our students and teachers safe and our campus open, Gillispie will begin regular surveillance COVID testing next Monday, January 25.

By testing a sampling of students for COVID-19 in each elementary class each week, the School will have a stronger ability to head off any possible outbreaks on campus. Approximately half of the students in each homeroom will be tested between Monday and Wednesday of one week and the other half of each class the following week. Therefore, each student should be tested at a frequency of once every two weeks.

The testing will occur during school hours and samples will be collected by Gillispie staff. Parents are not required to be present for the testing, but they must consent to joining this program and to being charged a fee of $28 per test, per child. The consent form can be found here.

Please print, sign, and scan back to [email protected]. If you have already turned in this form because your child was tested on January 7 at Gillispie, you do not need to re-fill the form.
