Each spring, the Gillispie community gathers for a beloved tradition: the Grade 6 vs. Faculty Kickball Game. With younger students lining the field, cheering on both their teachers and the Grade 6 class, the energy and school spirit are truly unmatched.
For our Grade 6 students, this game is a rite of passage—a chance to celebrate their final year at Gillispie surrounded by the community they’ve grown up in. For faculty, it’s a meaningful and often bittersweet moment, as many have known these students since their earliest days of school.
This year’s game brought plenty of excitement. It looked like the faculty might take the win, but Grade 6 had other plans—rallying late in the game to secure a 15–5 victory!
From big kicks to even bigger cheers, the day was filled with laughter, connection, and lasting memories. Moments like these are a powerful reminder of what makes Gillispie so special.
Congratulations to our Grade 6—soon to be the Class of 2026—on an unforgettable win and a joyful send-off!
