Specialty Spotlight: Library

It’s time for BOOK MADNESS, Gillispie Library’s annual book tournament! Students vote for their favorite picture books and chapter books in three rounds starting with our “sweet sixteen” titles and narrowing them down until we crown a champion for each division.

All of the titles in this year’s epic book battle were published in 2022. They represent a variety of genres (including graphic novel, realistic fiction, humor, and fantasy) and a diverse group of authors, illustrators, and characters.

Voting continues through the month of March. I’ll announce each round’s winners during our morning Greeting Meetings, and we’ll crown our two winning books on Friday, March 24, just before we head out for Spring Break. I can’t wait to hear the students cheering for their favorite books!
