LOWER ELEMENTARY TEACHING POSITION

We seek a full-time lower elementary Grade 2 educator with a deep respect for children and a commitment to lifelong learning. Candidates must foster a nurturing classroom environment. Strong interpersonal skills, pedagogical expertise, a growth mindset, the ability to join our school culture, a good sense of humor, a commitment to professional development, and flexibility are essential attributes. Prior experience in a constructivist, inquiry-based environment at the elementary level is highly desired. Responsive Classroom and training in the Singapore math teaching method are preferred. Moreover, candidates should have some training and experience with instructional approaches firmly grounded in the Science of Reading (e.g., Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, Structured Literacy, etc.).
PREKINDERGARTEN TEACHER POSITION

The prekindergarten teacher is a constructivist educator with a deep respect for young children who is committed to their lifelong learning. Early childhood educators at Gillispie School team teach in nurturing, inquiry-based environments that meet the cognitive, emotional, social, and physical needs of young children. Teachers co-research topics with children and colleagues to create a curriculum that supports inquiry-based, experiential learning. Daily documentation, reflection meetings, and analysis of children’s experiences are used as tools to deepen and extend learning.
EARLY CHILDHOOD–GRADE 6 P.E. TEACHER POSITION

We seek a full-time PE teacher with a deep respect for children and a commitment to lifelong learning. Candidates must foster a nurturing learning environment and have experience co-teaching or working collaboratively with other educators. This is a co-teacher position working alongside another PE instructor, teaching early childhood children (ages 2-4) through sixth grade.
