Prekindergarten students in Juniper Room are working with clay! Last week, they worked on making coil pots and little ceramic bird nests (perfect for the spring season) and incorporating different clay tools and techniques. They are learning about scoring, rolling, pinching, painting with color glaze, and firing their pieces in the kiln (with the teachers' help, of course!) Meals on Wheels delivers special Happy Birthday gift bags to older adults receiving their services. It is a lovely way to show them love on their birthdays!
