Live Auction Highlight: Dine with Food Network Star “Chef Marcela” Valladolid!
Gillispie’s own Emmy-nominated international celebrity chef, Marcela Valladolid, will prepare a gourmet multi-course dinner for 12 in her gorgeous Chula Vista home.
Growing up around expert and traditional cooks in Tijuana, Mexico, Marcela developed an early passion and appreciation for food. After working at her aunt’s cooking school in Mexico, she enrolled in the Los Angeles Culinary Institute and later attended the Ritz Escoffier Cooking School in Paris, where she was trained as a classical French pastry chef. She returned home to Tijuana to run a catering company and teach local children about the culinary arts. As she gradually collected and perfected recipes of her own, she felt compelled to share her passion with others. In 2010, Chef Marcela landed her own series on the Food Network, “Mexican Made Easy”, and also spent several years as a co-host of The Kitchen. She is a published author who loves to share her expertise and inspire others to prepare fresh and flavorful meals in their own homes.
Chef Marcela will work directly with the highest bidder to determine the theme and date of the dinner, which would be perfect for celebrating a special occasion or simply enjoying with your foodie friends. The dinner will be approximately three hours in length and, while alcohol can be brought in, it is not included in the dinner package. Absolutely no smoking will be permitted. We are so grateful for Chef Marcela’s generosity in sharing her passion and expertise with the Gillispie community!
A very special thank you to Marcela Valladolid for donating this priceless experience!
