Help Support Our Blood Drive and Bake Sale
It has been over a decade since Gillispie first rolled up its sleeves and hosted the first blood drive, and the tradition continues with our annual Grade 3 Blood Drive and Bake Sale February 11, 2020.
An event that was organized to support a former Gillispie family affected by childhood leukemia has now turned into our blood drive–a life-saving, annual event that our local community depends on. Over the past ten years, our Gillispie blood donors have saved and improved the lives of newborns, children, mothers, fathers, sisters, and brothers. The money generously donated through the third-grade bake sale has helped create much-needed improvements to mobile blood drive vehicles.
Please click the link now to make an appointment to donate blood on February 11, and help spread the word to friends and family!
Whether or not donating blood is the right choice for you, you can support the San Diego Blood Bank by purchasing treats at the bake sale on the same day. New families take note, this is not your average bake sale! Aprons on, third graders will be ready to accept your donations for full-sized treats, perfect for your family or your child’s classroom.
Blood donations can be made from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and the bake sale will be open from 7:45 a.m to 4:30 p.m. in the lobby. Only adults may make purchases, but children are welcome to buy $1.00 cake raffle tickets.
Please support Gillispie’s ELEVENTH annual blood drive and bake sale on Tuesday, February 11, 2020.
