Welcome to Early Kindergarten
Early K fosters a child's self-esteem by providing opportunities to exercise decision-making skills and learning the value of choices. Divergent thinking is encouraged.
The children are encouraged to take an active role in resolving social conflicts and personal problems. Each child will be challenged daily in developmental skills in math, art and creativity, science, language arts, social interactions, and physical fitness. We hope to instill the motivation to learn which is vital for future learning and growth.
Our class takes a pretend trip around the U.S.A. to learn about the diverse cultures of our nation. We view each state as if we were tourists observing exciting landmarks and discussing historical events.
Developmental skills are challenged during language arts, math, science, cooking, art, music, social studies and writing.
