Applying to The Gillispie School

Thank you for your interest in The Gillispie School. We are currently accepting applications for the few spots we have remaining in our Kindergarten program. Please contact Linda Moyer, admissions coordinator, at 858-459-3773 or e-mail Linda Moyer for information regarding specific grade-level openings.

Application materials

The application materials may be obtained in two ways:

Families interested in applying to Gillispie should observe the following guidelines:

Early Childhood (Toddler – Early Kindergarten)

• Applications must be received by February 1 for the following school year. Applications received after the deadline will be reviewed and children will be assessed if openings are available.
• The School will call to arrange a readiness assessment and parent interview once the application has been reviewed.

Kindergarten – Grade 6

• Submit the completed application with a non-refundable fee of $125. Applications are accepted on an on-going basis. Parents are contacted and the child assessed in the event of an opening.
• Submit report cards and standardized test results from previous schools when an assessment is scheduled.

Acceptance Letters

Letters for all grade levels except Toddlers are mailed early in March. Toddler class acceptance letters are mailed early in April.

Financial Aid

The Gillispie School offers financial aid funds for qualified families. Please contact the business offfice for additional information.
