Ms. Haas’ Grade 4 students visited the early childhood assembly last Friday to close out Earth Week with a show-and-tell about custom-made solar/hybrid cars they had built during the week. Students across the grades enjoyed a solar car parade (and spontaneous races!) during lunch play time.

Third graders Charlie A. and Zach F. race to cross paths during last week’s Earth Week recycling relay. Now a P.E. tradition, students run half the sport court to bins of mystery items and then run the other half of the court toward marked recycling sorting containers.

Mrs. Shieh’s Grade 4 class poses with field trip chaperone and Gillispie P.E. teacher Mr. Whelan. Students enjoyed a morning walk at Torrey Pines State Preserve and then sketched outdoors guided by Gillispie art teacher Mrs. Walters.
